“Lightning Lane” is the new term for the Fast, and pass line. That is, Lightning Lanes are shorter lines for rides that you need to get special access to. Lightning Lanes are how you “skip the line” at Disney World moving forward.

Lightning Lanes are the physical queue that let you skip the line. Individual Lightning Lane Selections is a pay-per-ride service that lets you enter the physical Lightning Lane. Genie+ is a paid line-skipping service where you pay one flat fee for the day and skip the lines in multiple attractions.
Individual Lightning Lane access is available on eight attractions at Disney World. Here they are, ranked by their typical wait times from most to least: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
You can book your next Lightning Lane immediately when your first Lightning Lane time starts with two exceptions. If you book a Lightning Lane that is within 30 minutes from the current time, you have to wait 30 minutes to book another or when you use the at the attraction.
Onsite Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests (including those staying at Shades of Green and Swan and Dolphin) can start making individual Lightning Lane selections starting at 7 a., and m. Guests staying offsite can’t start making selections until park opening — but, they don’t have to be inside the park to do so.
How much do Lightning Lane tickets cost at Disneyland?
Price ranges for individual Lightning Lane purchases are $7 to $20 per ticket. Be sure to check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit for current prices and attraction availability. You can purchase individual selections for up to 2 different attractions per day upon entering a theme park.
We should see if we can figure it out! for some of our most highly demanded attractions, Lightning Lane entrance access will be available to purchase individually. Guests may purchase and select an arrival window one at a time for up to 2 attractions a day. This option will be available for all Guests—with or without Disney Genie+ service.
The most popular rides you have to pay 7 to 15 per person per ride on top of that to ride in the lightning lane. I’m not a mathematician but the inflation has to be out of this world.
You can see pricing to the right of the individual Lightning Lane attraction. Be sure to check your existing plans (tap the arrow next to “Plans During This Time”) so you don’t have too much of an overlap of selections. If you have a Park Hopper, you can purchase pay-per-ride selections at parks other than where you have a park reservation.
Can I make individual lightning Lane selections with a park Hopper?
But, the Lightning Lane can only be accessed with an individual Lightning Lane selection, and not with Genie+. This means guests who don’t join the virtual queue can only ride Remy’s if they purchase an individual Lightning Lane spot. Can I make individual Lightning Lane selections with a Park Hopper?
This of course begs the query “Can I book individual lightning Lane selections in the app?”
The most common answer is, in addition to being able to make Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections in the My Disney Experience app, you can also book individual Lightning Lane selections at each Walt Disney World theme park. The individual Lightning Lane attractions selections are not included with Genie+. They are sold separately and are pay-per-use.
How many times a day can I use Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane?
You can enjoy a Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane entrance once per day. If you’d like to re-ride an attraction or see a certain show again within the same day, you are welcome to use our regular standby line.
