Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is now open. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is closed for refurbishment at this time. Like the other areas of Walt Disney World Resort, we will welcome back Guests and Cast Members to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park in a responsible way, with a plan focused on health and well-being.
While Blizzard Beach reopened back on March 7, 2021, Typhoon Lagoon has remained closed since the beginning of the pandemic. It has been unclear since then when the park will reopen. Talked to a person a few weeks ago who has worked at the water parks for years. Typhoon lagoon is going through a massive refurbishment. No immediate plans to reopen.
Then, when does Typhoon Lagoon reopen?
The most usefull answer is: blizzard Beach re-opened March 7, 2021 and Typhoon Lagoon is rumored to re-open at some point in summer 2021.
Is parking at Typhoon Lagoon still free?
The fees range from $15 to $25 per night for self-parking depending on the resort you stay at. One place Disney doesn’t charge for parking is at their water parks, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. You can park for free at Disney Springs, too. That said, there is a $20 flat-rate fee if you want to pay for valet parking.
How much does it cost to park at Typhoon Lagoon?
There are also two types of Water Park Annual Passes. The first is good for any dates for a full year. This costs $139 plus tax per person age 3 and up. The second type of Water Park Annual Pass is for Florida Residents only and is good all year for admissions after 2PM. This Pass costs $69 for guests ages 10+ and $63 for guests.

Can I bring a cooler into Typhoon Lagoon?
Complimentary standard parking is available for all Guests visiting Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. If you plan to bring a cooler into the park, you will be asked to show the contents to a Cast Member who will inspect it for prohibited items.
Can you wear a wetsuit at Typhoon Lagoon?
Inappropriate swim attire, swim attire with buckles, rivets, zippers or exposed metal, and other sharp objects are not allowed on any of the attractions. Jeans (denim) and wetsuits (neoprene) are not permitted on the following attractions at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park: Bay Slides, Humunga Kowabunga, Ketchakiddee Creek and Storm Slides.
