The wing Cloud has is over the shoulder that is lacking a wing on Sephiroth. A possible reason is to contrast Sephiroth’s angelic wing and also as a throwback to Vincent Valentine who was originally supposed to be in the first Kingdom Hearts, which also explains the claw like glove.
Well, originally, the developers wanted to include a single, gnarled black wing growing out of his back in order to “suggest evil” to the players. The wing comes from his final boss fight form, which includes what’s quite possibly one of the most iconic ultimate battle themes from any video game ever.
Why doesn’t Cloud have wings in Kingdom Hearts 2?
Possibly because Cloud is “in darkness” during the first Kingdom Hearts game – he is cooperating with Hades and being pulled deeper into his chain of deals. He doesn’t have the wing in Kingdom Hearts II, likely showing that he has changed to fight for the side of good. I think it has to be becuase in heven usally people have wings.
This is because Cloud was meant to appear alongside Vincent, but because the latter was removed, his appearance was incorporated into Cloud’s. He also wields the Buster Sword, though it is covered in bandages, likely a symbol of his bound self and past. Protruding from his back is one large demonic wing, a counterpart to Sephiroth’s angelic one.
Why is cloud in kingdom hearts?
