Unfortunately, Insurgency Sandstorm is not available for cross-play at this point. This is because, the developer of this game, New World Interactive has not enabled the support for cross-play in this game. At present players can have battles with their friends on the same platforms.
Does Insurgency Sandstorm have cross-platform multiplayer?
Currently, multiplayer support is available only for the same platforms. So, it is not possible to have Insurgency : Sandstorm cross-platform across Xbox One and PC. It means that the player with a PC cannot join the same game with the Xbox One player. The reason is the versions of the game are different with both Xbox One and PC.
You can easily cross-play Insurgency Sandstorm across the same platforms like PS4 and PS5. As both the platforms are running on the same server it is not that hard to have cross-platform. It means a PS4 player and a PS5 player can cross-play the desired game without any problem.
You can use Insurgency single player to figure out the gameplay to a T, but also to try out new load-outs, or just have a bit of fun without worrying about other players. That’s not to say bots aren’t challenging, mind!
