Can you flood a fuel injected car?
Fuel-injected engines can be flooded. Fuel injected into a cylinder without enough air can damp the spark plugs, preventing them from starting the engine. When it’s cold, engine flooding can cause your car to fail.
What do you do if you flood the engine?
To clear the excess fuel: Crank the engine with the accelerator pedal pushed to the floor. Continue cranking the engine (for up to 10 seconds) until you hear the engine trying to start.
