Today, we’re happy to present to you the option to link your War Thunder account by email. This will allow you to play the PC version of the game whilst keeping all your progress, purchase Golden Eagles in the Gaijin Store, and access the forums, support website and War Thunder Live portal with ease. Step by step instructions are as follows.
“You have to link your account, then install and boot up the game on PC, then join a squadron while on the PC version. Once you do that, you can just play like normal on Xbox and you’ll earn RP towards squadron vehicles, even on Xbox.” Once you link your xbox account, you can unlink it but you wont be able to link it after that keep in mind.
Account linking only works one way, from Xbox platform to PC. You cannot transfer your existing PC progress to Xbox ; You can use your bound email to play PC versions of Crossout and CRSED: F. O. A. D, but there is no transfer of game progress from Xbox versions of those titles since they are not cross-platform capable.
Can you play War Thunder on PC?

When I was writing we ran into the query “Can I transfer my progress from PC to PS4 War Thunder?”.
You cannot transfer your progress and purchases from another platform to your Play, and station. However, you can link the War Thunder account created on Play. Station to your email and use it on the PC version, thus keeping your progress. You can read about this in detail here., and here.
You have no abilty to make any in game vehicle purchases on the pc version at all. You would have to make any vehicle pack purchases through the Microsoft store, thus adding them to you war thunder account via Microsoft on xbl or the MS store on PC. These packs would then appear on your xbox account which is logged into the pc version of the game.
How do I bind my email on War Thunder Xbox One?
Once in the hangar, click on your nickname in the top left to open the profile screen. In your profile, click the “ E-mail bind” button which is positioned in the bottom left. Enter your email address in the window that opens. Note: this should be any valid email address you have access to.
