On Palm Sunday, April 11, 1965, Northern Indiana was hit by a devastating outbreak of tornadoes, many in the F4 and F5 Fujita category. Hardest hit was the unincorporated town of Dunlap. Located between Elkhart and Goshen on US 33 in Elkhart County. The Midway Trailer Park and the Sunnyside addition were especially devastated.
